Does VA Electric do residential electrical work? 

No, commercial and industrial electrical work are our forte.  We do, however, work on multi-family apartment complexes, large residential developments and commercial building service calls.

What is your basic service rate? 

Since each service call situation is different we cannot give pricing online or over the phone.  Contact us and we are happy to provide a free estimate.

Are your electricians licensed?   

Yes, all of VA Electric’s journeymen electricians are licensed. 

How are your electricians trained? 

Each of VA Electric’s apprentices attend four years of classroom and hands-on training with the Northern New Mexico Independent Electrical Contractors Association (NNMIEC), a chapter of the National Independent Electrical Contractors Association (NIEC). At the end of the fourth year, each apprentice takes the state electrical journeyman’s test.

How do your electricians stay current in their profession?

Each journeyman participates in continuing education, 16 hours of which must be verified with the state before they can renew their journeyman’s license every three years.

Can VA Electric provide performance and payment bonds if required?

Yes, many of our projects require VA Electric to provide a bond certificate. VA Electric has worked with our bond company for more than 11 years and currently can bond over $10 million in work.

How is VA Electric’s safety record? 

VA Electric has not had an OSHA reportable incident in the past four years.  VA Electric’s EM rating is currently 0.80.

How does VA Electric give back to the community?

VA Electric and its employees have sponsored multiple youth sports teams, and fundraised for families in need and charitable organizations in our community.  At VA Electric, we believe that we are all part of something bigger and that giving back sustains us physically and emotionally.
